Deepika's father Prakash Padukone says it was tough to read her boyfriend rumours

Ever since her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor at the beginning of her career (they started dating right after their debut in Saawariya and Om Shanti Om, which released on the same day), Deepika Padukone has been linked to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Siddharth Mallya, and then, even Ranveer Singh.

She will end up marrying Singh on November 14, but the other names which cropped up, have affected her father, ace badminton player Prakash Padukone.

In an interview with India Today, Prakash said, “Initially, we found it difficult. But nowadays, we're used to it. Some of it - what is being reported is true, but some of it is absolutely not correct. But it is a part and parcel of... you can't have only good things. One has to accept it."

Showing his pride over his daughter’s achievements, he said, “It's a moment of pride for any parent, when their child has achieved so much.”

Deepika, a proud daughter herself, puts her family on priority and now, with their approval, is all set to embark on a new journey in her life.
