After Manisha, Swara signs Sanjay Dutt's Prasthanam remake, here's what she'll play

Breaking the shackles of her character actor image, Swara Bhasker has beautifully ventured into the commercial space bagging some prominent roles. After being part of Veere Di Wedding, slated for this Friday release, she will be next seen in a film with Sanjay Dutt.

The casting for the remake of Prasthanam is on full swing. Actress Manisha Koirala has already been signed to play Sanjay’s wife and now Swara has also come on board.

“Swara will be seen playing Sanjay’s stepdaughter in the remake. The film goes on floors in a couple of days and Swara has a very interesting role in it,” reveals a source. While Ali Fazal will be seen playing Sanjay’s son, Swara will be playing his stepdaughter.

Prasthanam is a 2010 Telugu political thriller, which starred Sharwanand, Saikumar, and Sudeep Kishan. The film will also mark the return of Sanju baba as a producer. His last production venture was 2011 film Rascals. The movie will go on the floors on Dutt’s mother, Nargis’ birth anniversary, June 1.
