Aamir Khan on why he avoided working with Salman Khan

The Bigg Boss 18 Grand Finale turned into a nostalgic trip for fans as Bollywood icons Aamir Khan and Salman Khan shared the stage, reminiscing about their bond and addressing an old interview that sparked a conversation about their working dynamics.
During their interaction, Aamir revealed that he had come across an old interview clip of Salman praising his work. However, Salman surprised the audience by mentioning another clip where Aamir expressed hesitation about collaborating with him in the past. "In that interview, Aamir said, 'I don’t want to do more films with Salman. He arrives late. Blah blah,’” Salman shared, evoking laughter.
Aamir candidly admitted, "Yes, I said that because that’s how I felt at the time."
Salman explained the context behind his delays during that period. "Back then, I was juggling 12-15 films simultaneously, while Aamir focused on one project at a time. I’d often finish work at 2-3 AM, get some rest, and then head to the set by 7 AM. But Aamir would be there right on time because his schedule was lighter."
Aamir acknowledged this, agreeing that balancing rest with work is vital. "Later in life, I understood Salman's situation. It was a demanding phase for him, and rest is important."
The finale, however, saw a minor hiccup. Akshay Kumar, who was also slated to appear on the show, reportedly left without filming his segment. Salman addressed the situation during the episode, admitting to his own tardiness. "Akshay had prior commitments and couldn’t wait any longer after an hour. I understand and appreciate his professionalism," the host stated.
Despite the setback, the reunion of Aamir and Salman made the evening memorable for fans, as the two icons reflected on their growth, understanding, and shared history in the industry. Their camaraderie reminded everyone of their lasting friendship, proving that time and mutual respect heal all past differences.
