I know what you want: Mohini Dey on linkup rumours with AR Rahman

Oscar award winning composer AR Rahman along with his wife Saira Banu has divorced after being married for 29 years. This news, announced by their lawyer on November 20, drew several reactions. However, there was more speculation regarding the divorce as some fans coincidentally found out Captain Bassist Mohini Dey separated with husband Mark Hartsuch who was coincidentally Rahman's wife's was separate Mark Hartsuch. This went on to fuel false rumors of becoming the partner of Rahman and Dey.

While this was happening, on November 22, Mohini Dey decided to post something on her Instagram and said the rumors were saddening and were absolutely nonsense. In the next picture, she posted a story, saying:
"It has become impossible for me to ignore the people wanting to interview me. I do not have much interest in boosting the phrase with getting people angry, forever. I feel my energy does not need to be used for TRYING RUMORS. Please let me live."

Dey’s words are quite clear. In fact he expresses disgust over some false rumors that have made a basic personality of her. AR Rahman's son, AR Rameen also took part in the further statements and went on to clear his father’s name regarding the involvement of Dey and Rahman.

As for Rameen, he asked the public to protect Rahman’s name and focus on such “disheartening” allegations.

“He is a global icon for what he gave the world but most importantly, for the love, the respect and the values he earned through hard work over the years and that is what makes him a legend. I find it so demoralising when I hear the most mundane and illogical rumors. One must refrain from making light of the truth and respect one's life and legacy when the person in question is in fact the subject. Please do not indulge in these acts or promote such fake news”
