Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play the female lead role opposite SRK. It is just an extended cameo role and not a full-fledged role. KING will be produced by Marflix Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.
Deepika will be playing the mother of Suhana Khan’s character and an ex-lover of SRK. More details are awaited at the moment.
Since Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2012), the two superstar actors have united five times so far. The latest collaboration will be their sixth. Pathaan and Jawan in recent times are extremely popular outings. While the makers are gung-ho about the union, Netizens are not too enthusiastic, given that the pairing has started seeming too monotonous. They want Deepika to be replaced by some other actress.
The pre-production of KING is going on in full swing. The regular shoot of the massive film will commence sometime in May in Mumbai. The makers are aiming to release King in late 2026.
