Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal friends or enemies?
Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal who are the most favorite playback singers of India seem to have grown over the years in music as they now share a strong bonding which comes from their experiences of being mothers. The two singers sweeps in the new single Chhaila which was recently released by Salim-Sulaiman and Shraddha Pandit where their relationship was highlighted to be both professional and personal.
Chauhan recalls Shreya Ghoshal as a ‘Best Friend Forever’ and so much more. Ghoshal was all over Chauhan’s gracious persona and her talent and was all about her stories of ‘firsts’ of watching Chauhan on stage.
These two singers Ghoshal and Chauhawan may appear different in their style of singing, but both of them achieved fame and realised their musical ambitions through Indian reality shows, Ghoshal on ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ and Chauhan in ‘Meri Awaz Suno’, thus becoming child idols for audiences in India early in their career. Chauhan further developed a strong friendship with singer Shaan, after their first US tour together. Reminiscing about their very first meetings, Chauhan was pleased to note the affectionate side of Ghoshal’s family, their love towards her at an early stage and their family life.
In the production of Chhaila again in the studio together, their mutual familiarity became an important factor in impregnating the composition with the vividness of the song. Working closely brought uncommon ease to both singers, as Goshall herself put it: “There were no taboos and no constraints. Everything was straightforward.” Both artists look forward to working on more projects and expressing the idea of making Chhaila 2.0 in the future seems exciting.
