Budapest musicians score for 'Pushpa: The Rule'

Refusing to compromise on the musical backdrop of his highly anticipated film Pushpa: The Rule, director Sukumar has enlisted musicians from Budapest for special Allu Arjun-centric scenes. "The background score work is ongoing in Budapest, known for its rich musical history and exceptional talent," says a source. Budapest musicians and orchestras, previously involved in acclaimed films like Riders of Justice (2020), Ponniyin Selvan: Part I (2022), and Truth or Dare (2018), are collaborating on these key scenes. Music composer SS Thaman is overseeing the score, having confirmed his role at a recent event, putting to rest rumors of a dispute over scoring duties.

However, Budapest's composers are solely enhancing the "hero elevation scenes" for the second part, while original composer Devi Sri Prasad continues to handle the film's main score, just as he did in Pushpa: The Rise, delivering chart-topping songs and a powerful score. "Rumors of tension between Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad are baseless," adds the source.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun and Sukumar have wrapped up the sequel’s shooting, completing a four-day song sequence with Sreeleela at Ramoji Film City. With filming finished, Sukumar is now focused on post-production, including editing and dubbing, as the release date approaches.

The trailer is set to be unveiled in Patna this weekend, chosen due to the city's special connection with the franchise. Pushpa: The Rise saw immense popularity in Patna, inspiring a viral Bhojpuri version of the song "Srivalli" in 2022. This strong bond with the city led the filmmakers to select Patna for the trailer launch.
