CM Revanth sets preconditions, producer M S Raju says its reasonable

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said Telugu film industry bigwigs, who seek government permission to increase ticket prices when a big budget film is released, are not fulfilling their social responsibility to raise awareness on the menace of drugs and cyber crime. "It’s a reasonable decision because superstars are also against illegal activities and their message carries weight and reaches out to a wider audience among youth and masses. I think many stars would oblige,' he says.

On CM insisting the officials to set a pre-condition to filmmakers to provide a video of one or two minutes duration to the government to promote awareness on drugs and cybercrime when they approach the government to hike ticket prices “Probably, he wants to ensure as many videos as possible from Tollywood celebrities against drug abuse, cyber crimes which are affecting gullible and innocent people. Maybe, he doesn't want stars to skip videos with excuses like being on a holiday and stuff and ensure his message is carried to the nook and corner of the state and curb all kinds of menace,” points out M S Raju.
