Dhanush In A Never-Seen-Before Role?
Hyderabad: Even though Tamil star Dhanush has showcased his acting brilliance in varied films like ‘Asuran’, ‘Pudupetai,’ and ‘Raghuvaran B Tech’, the national award-winning actor will be seen in a refreshing avatar in his upcoming film ‘Kubera’, “Honestly, he hasn’t done such a role before and his fans would adore him in an altogether new avatar,” says a source who adds, “Dhanush is known to be a director’s actor. Yet again, he moulded himself and got into the skin of the character as envisaged by director Sekhar Kammula who is known for etching fascinating roles with a touch of realism that befits the stature of Dhanush," he adds.
Earlier, Dhanush bagged a national award for his acting in the hard-hitting film ‘Aadukulam’ and is known for breathing life into characters in terms of looks, body language, and subtle performances. “Dhanush role will be a few notches up over his other films since in this path-breaking commercial entertainer,” he adds. He will be romancing Rashmika Mandanna in this much-hyped movie.
It is Dhanush’s first collaboration with Kammula, known for Telugu films like 'Happy Days' (2007) and 'Love Story' (2021). Earlier, the announcement video showed Dhanush, sporting a scruffy beard and a smile, standing before a wall. The religious mural before him depicts Lord Shiva receiving alms from Annapurna, a form of his divine spouse Parvati.
