More trolls than collections: Double iSmart draws a meagre Rs 17 cr after 10 days!

10 day collections of director Puri Jagannadh film Double iSmart has garnered meagre Rs 17 crore and it turned out to collosal flop for actor Ram Pothineni too. "It lost sheen from second day itself and began to go from bad to worse to shatter the dream of Puri Jagannadh to make a comeback after disastrous Liger," says top distributor who adds " the production cost for the film was 90 crores with remuneration of Rs 25 crore for Ram and 15 crore for Sanjay Dutt taking away major chunk and rest for making costs, he adss.
No doubt, their earlier film iSmart Shankar was a blockbuster and expectations soared for its sequel. "The double memory transfer story failed to connect with viewers and it received more trolls than collections. It did well on day one but lost audience for subsequent shows and ended up a flop show," he points out.
Puri is truly in financial mess since he is also producer of the film along with Charmme Kaur and he has to refund in big sums to distributors. "He may do a film for distributor turned producer Niranjan Reddy to compensate for losses but nothing fixed yet, he concludes..
