Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan is doing a big ticket Telugu film ‘Kaantha’ and he would be reportedly romancing pretty actress Krithi Shetty of ‘Uppena’ fame in this action film. Dulquer and Krithi pairing would be refreshing and unique since they both are good-looking and talented too. “It would be fresh jodi for Telugu audience for sure," says a source, who however, adds, “Discussions are underway but nothing is fixed yet.” The much-hyped film is being produced by Rana Daggubati and being directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, whose debut feature Nila (2016) won the audience award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival. He also helmed the Netflix documentary series ‘The Hunt for Veerappan’.
Already, Dulquer has wooed Keerthy Suresh in ‘Mahanati’ and Meenakshi Choudhury in his upcoming Telugu film ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ and now, he could work with Krithi who has shared screen space with big stars like Naga Chaitanya and Ram Pothineni in Tollywood. “Krithi is also working with Tamil stars like Karthi and Jayama Ravi and expanding her brand equity, ‘ he adds.
Whereas, Krithi proved her acting mettle in the recent release ‘Manamey’ and matched her acting strides with Sharwanand. “She is a good mix and beauty and talent,” he concludes.
