Hema heaves a sigh of relief as MAA revokes suspension

At last, the Telugu Movie Artistes Association has revoked the suspension on Telugu actress Hema, who was allegedly involved in a drug case, since the executive committee members resolved in favor of the actress after discussing the issue threadbare. After careful deliberation, President Vishnu Manchu proposed that Hema's suspension be lifted, and the committee members agreed to proceed with his recommendation, says a source. The actors' guild informed Hema that the suspension had been revoked immediately. No doubt, Hema would heave a sigh of relief after spending a few sleepless nights and now she could do films as usual, he points out.

A few weeks ago, Hema approached top office-bearers of the Movies Artistes Association to reconsider their decision as she tested negative in lab reports. “She sought the support of her colleagues since her image was tarnished a bit due to media trials after allegations. She found support from many colleagues and the association ruled in her favor a week ago,” the source points out
Vishnu Manchu led the managing committee which includes Vice President Madala Ravi and General Secretary Raghu Babu along with others besides the 18-member executive committee had detailed discussion and revoked the suspension since the actors guild is meant to safeguard the interest of its members without any bias and prejudice.
Confirming the same, actor Madala Ravi, who is also vice president of the guild, says, “It is true that we have revoked the suspension on Hema based on the majority decision of the committee members led by president Vishnu Manchu since our association meant to protect interests of our members."
