Oprah Winfrey celebrated her best friend Gayle King’s 63rd birthday with an intimate dinner for 10 while they vacationed together in Maui with their friends and family, reports People.com.
The party included a buffet with glazed carrots, dover sole meuniere, braised short ribs, skillet potatoes, butter lettuce salad with pears and truffle au gratin cauliflower — King’s favorite dishes, which she had chosen out in advance. “Hi everybody. It’s Gayle’s birthday, so we’re having birthday dinner (sic),” Oprah said in an Instagram video, adding, “It’s almost weight watchers approved (sic).”
The video tour ended with Winfrey embracing King in a warm hug. “Happy Birthday, my best friend Gayle King! (sic)” she cheered.
