Johnny Depp sued for attacking crew member
Johnny Depp’s legal entanglements grew by one recently, when a man filed suit against the actor, saying that Depp punched him during the filming of a movie last year. According to reports on TheHollywood-Reporter.com, Gregg “Rocky” Brooks alleges that in April 2017, while filming the forthcoming movie City of Lies in and around the Barclay Hotel in downtown LA, he informed the director Brad Furman that an upcoming take featuring Depp would have to be the last outdoor shot of the night because of legal permits.
The lawsuit says Furman forced Brooks to tell Depp himself that shooting had to end. Brooks said Depp appeared intoxicated as he shouted obscenities then “angrily and forcefully” punched Brooks twice in the rib cage. Brooks was fired three days later, after declining to sign a release waiving his right to sue over the incident. He is seeking an unspecified amount of money for actual and punitive damages.
