Pamela Anderson joins Baywatch team, Dwayne Johnson welcomes her home
Los Angeles: Actress Pamela Anderson, who became a household name with her role as CJ Parker on the original 'Baywatch' TV series will make an appearance in the movie reboot.
WWE wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made the announcement on his Instargam account. "She introduced the world to 'CJ Parker' and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation for the most successful TV show of all time.
A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our Baywatch cast. We couldn't have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!," Johnson wrote on his Instagram, along with a photo that appeared to be clicked on the set.
Anderson, 48, played the role of CJ Parker on the original 1989 show from 1992 to 1997. However, in the movie, she will not be reprising the same role as model Kelly Rohrbach is portraying Parker.
The movie also stars Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, supermodel Charlotte McKinney, Alexandra Daddario, Hannibal Buress and Ilfenesh Hadera as Johnson's love interest. The "Baywatch" movie will hit the theatres on May 19,
