Tom Cruise to make daring entrance at Paris 2024 Olympic closing ceremony
In a sensational turn of events, Tom Cruise will make a daring entrance at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on August 11. He is expected to parachute in as part of the ceremony for Los Angeles, which will host the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Interestingly enough, this daredevil act was filmed discreetly earlier in March this year. At various points throughout the Olympics in Paris, Cruise – who has always insisted on performing his stunts – made appearances like during women's gymnastics qualifiers and swimming competitions.
Cruise said: “It’s awesome. Great stories, great athletes. It’s incredible what they have to do, the sense of accomplishment.” The actor expressed his enthusiasm about this event in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
This part of the show will be produced by Fulwell 73- a company that has been responsible for significant projects such as “The Kardashians” on Hulu and Adele’s One Night Only live event on CBS in 2021. Through blending pre-recorded material with live aspects, LA component shall feature an energetic hand-over between both cities.
Originally there had been plans for a major celebration at Will Rogers State Beach in Los Angeles where they would ceremoniously hand over the Olympic flag. However these were shelved due to fears from LAPD regarding disruptions along Pacific Coast Highway and issues obtaining permits from California Coastal Commission.
The closing ceremonies at any Olympics are typically marked by big celebrity-driven spectacles; this year’s edition will keep up with that tradition when it comes to Cruise flying through air.
Tom Cruise’s participation adds excitement to the Olympic exchange as anticipation builds among fans worldwide awaiting the end of Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
