Despite being one of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars, Jr NTR admits that acting continues to challenge him. “Even today, I feel nervous in front of the camera—something most people don’t realize,” he shared candidly. “Director Trivikram Srinivas knows this well. I get shivers down my spine while performing,” said the actor, who was the chief guest at the success meet of the blockbuster film Mad Square.
Reflecting on his comic roles, NTR confessed, “It’s much harder to win over audiences with comedy than with action or drama. That’s why I’m still uncertain about doing a sequel to Adhurs 2.”
The actor was full of praise for Mad Square’s leads, Sangeeth Sobhan and Ram Nithiin. “Their performances were energetic and flamboyant,” he said. “I hope they carry that same spark into all their future films.”
Speaking warmly about Narne Nithiin—his brother-in-law—NTR shared a personal anecdote. “I got married in 2011, and back then, Nithiin was just a shy kid who never came near me,” he recalled with a smile. “I tried many times to break the ice, but he wouldn’t open up. One day, he simply told me he wanted to be an actor. I was surprised, and I told him upfront, ‘I won’t support you just because we’re family.’ Watching him today—confident, camera-friendly, and with great comic timing—makes me proud. Way to go, brother!”
He also encouraged Sangeeth Sobhan, urging the young actor to trust his directors and continue growing in the industry.
On the professional front, Jr NTR is gearing up for his Bollywood debut in War 2, set to release later this year. He’ll also begin filming Devara 2 by the end of the year.
