After playing lover girl roles, pretty actress Janhvi Kapoor played a cricketer in her latest Hindi film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ opposite Rajkumar Rao. She did a good job as an aspiring cricketer who gave up her childhood dreams and became a doctor at the insistence of her parents. “She forgets everything about her dream and cricket before her husband reminds her,” says a source. She gets married to Rajkumar Rao, who is a failed cricketer and has been advised to turn into a coach since his cricketing days are over. "He finds the spark in his wife Janhvi and mentors her skills. Later, differences crop up between the couple, and they get reunited and celebrate her selection to the Indian team,” he adds.
Meanwhile, she is doing well in Tollywood and romancing superstar Jr NTR in ‘Devara’. “She is playing a village belle and falls in love with NTR in the film and she would doing two songs and showcase her dancing skills,” he adds. She is also looking forward to her big-ticket film with Ram Charan which is set to begin in September. ‘Her Telugu stint has begun on a bright note as she is working with A-listers like in NTR and Ram Charan, unlike in Bollywood,” he adds.
He claims that she is actually a Bollywood actress and has done some Hindi films and is quite popular among Hindi-speaking viewers. She was seen in Hindi movies like ‘Milli and ‘Good Luck Jerry’. "Like her mother Sridevi, she could make a big splash in Telugu and south, before moving back to Hindi films as a south superstar,” he concludes.
