Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor has to work hard in Tollywood to gain superstardom since she couldn’t reach the top in Bollywood despite doing many Hindi films. "She is working with A-listers like Jr NTR and Ram Charan in Telugu which is a great start for her career and she has a good chance to move to the big league,” says a producer who adds, “Even her recent Hindi films like ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, and ‘Ulajh’ failed to set the box office on fire and she has to bank on Telugu movies to taste the flavor of box office success and attain stardom which has been eluding her,” he adds.
He claims that the daughter of the late Sridevi didn’t work with big guns like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman, and Aamir Khan or the likes of Ranveer Singh which is the mark of superstardom in Bollywood. “Actresses have to work with A-listers and box office Badshahs to stay at the top and retain their brand value and gain enviable stardom. Whereas, Janhvi preferred to work with relatively lesser-known actors like Rajkumar Rao, Varun Dhawan, and Sunny Khoshal which didn’t give her the chance to compete with the likes of Deepika Padukone,’ he points out.
However, she has arrived in Tollywood and her mother is a legendary actress in Telugu movies and ruled the roost in the 80s and 90s. “She was the undisputed queen of Telugu cinema during her time and was drawing the highest pay. She worked with the biggest of commercial stars like NTR, ANR, and Chiranjeevi and also shared screen space with younger ones like Nagarjuna and Venkatesh. Taking a cue from her, Janhvi has to pick films with Telugu superstars, and in just a year or two, she would become numero uno actress riding on her gorgeous looks and talent,’ he concludes
