Kareena says ‘No’ to Botox
She has no interest in cosmetic treatments, is happy the way she looks at 44

Kareena Kapoor Khan has never shied away from speaking her truth. In a conversation with celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, at the launch of the latter’s book ‘The Commonsense Diet’, the actor said she has no interest in cosmetic treatments, including Botox, and is embracing aging on her own terms.
“Age is a part of beauty,” she said. “It’s not about fighting lines or trying to look younger; it’s about embracing and loving the age you’re at. I’m 44 and have never felt better. I don’t feel the need for Botox or any cosmetic enhancements.”
Kareena also spoke about the importance of self-care. “I want to be working even when I’m 85. I want to be able to pick up my grandchildren without support,” she said.
The actor credited time with family and friends, regular workouts, and a guilt-free relationship with food. “There’s nothing like a home-cooked meal after a hard day’s work. Now Saif and I have started cooking ourselves. We enjoy it... made it a way of life. Saif is a better cook, that’s for sure. I can’t even boil an egg,” she said.
Kareena said she doesn’t mind eating the same comfort food for days. “If I don’t eat khichdi for three days, I actually start craving it... I’d be happy to eat khichdi five days a week. It keeps me happy with that little dollop of ghee on it,” she added. Ageing, for Kareena, is about staying strong in every way that counts.
