Kiara Advani is all set to make her debut at the prestigious Met Gala in New York this May. The actor, who is five months pregnant with her first child, will be representing India at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year’s Gala theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”, with a style focus on “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
While the official guest list is yet to be released, news of Kiara’s debut has already stirred excitement among fans.
“The Met Gala, known for its celebration of artistry and cultural significance, will now feature Kiara, whose influence continues to expand beyond the Indian film industry. Her debut is not just about style — it is about rewriting narratives, embracing evolution, and showcasing the undeniable force of a woman in her prime. Last year, she represented India at the Red Sea Film Foundation's Women in Cinema Gala Dinner at Cannes, highlighting India's growing influence in the international film landscape,” read the statement released by the star’s team.
She is likely to be dressed by designer Manish Malhotra.
Alia Bhatt, a Met Gala regular since 2023, may give the event a miss this year as she is expected to make her Cannes debut instead, representing Gucci from India.
Kiara, who recently opted out of Don 3, will next be seen in War 2 opposite Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.
