Vanmurai imparts a huge message

Now Suresh will be seen essaying an upright cop in a film titled Vanmurai, which is simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam.

Producer/distributor RK Suresh, who debuted as an actor in Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai as a villain, has come a long way. After playing negative roles, he was later elevated as a hero. And his stint in the Malayalam industry has made him an actor to reckon with there.

Now Suresh will be seen essaying an upright cop in a film titled Vanmurai, which is simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam. Directed by Manjith Diwakr, the film dwells on the present spate of sexual violence against women and how Suresh, who investigates a case of a missing girl from Kerala, unravels a series of murders. While Arshitha Sridhar is the female lead, Vinoth Krishnan appears as the forbidding villain. Sharmila and Neha Saxena are roped in as vital characters.

“It is a very significant film in my career. The film touches upon several real-life incidents, including the sensational Pollachi rape cases and the recent Telangana issue. It will create huge social awareness among the women,” Suresh tells DC. Even the Censor Board members who watched the movie appreciated the message of the film, claimed a unit hand.
