Maestro not upset with director
Maamanithan is an upcoming film directed by Seenu Ramasamy and featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja's YSR Films and K Productions jointly bankroll the flick. For the first time maestro Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have joined hands to score music for a film.
Rumours began doing the rounds that for some reason Isaignani was angry with Seenu Ramasamy. In a statement, the director denied it saying that he had not suggested any names to Raja and that the reports on the latter being upset with him were lies.
He said, “I showed the full film to Ilayaraja sir and he did not take a break and watched it at one stretch. Raja sir was very positive. Producer Yuvan gave me full freedom”.
This is the fourth film in which Seenu is teaming up with Yuvan but it will be the first film with Ilayaraja. He stated that he shot the film in Isaignani's native place Pannaipuram.
