Susei was apparently referring to Mahasivan’s initial days when he passed out meritoriously from Film Institute but did not get a chance, while some of his batchmates were already big.
Thozhar Venkatesan, set in Kanchipuram and based on the director’s real life experience, deals with the difficulties people face in getting compensation from insurance companies when they meet with accidents in government buses. Heaping praises on the film, Susei added, “With the given budget, Maha has packaged the film so well and I am confident it will be a sure shot hit. The content is very good and will create a buzz when the movie gets released. Though it delivers a social message, the way he has interlaced it with subtle romance, humor and emotions, people will connect with it.” Harishankar and Monica Chinnakotla play the lead pair.
