Veteran Actor and Comedian RS Sivaji Passes Away
Popular Tamil comedian and actor RS Shivaji died in Chennai on Saturday morning. The actor predominantly worked in Tamil movies. Born in Chennai in 1956 to actor and producer M.R. Santhanam, Shivaji was 66 years old.
Telugu audiences were also able to enjoy his performances in dubbed movies in the two Telugu states. His comic timing was noted in Kamal Haasan dubbed movies like ‘Apoorva Sahodarulu,’ “Micheal Madana Kama Raju,’ and ‘Vikram’ to mention a few.
He shared a strong bond with veteran actor Kamal Haasan and his production house Raaj Kamal Films International, contributing to many successful Tamil projects. Besides acting, Shivaji also worked as an assistant director, sound designer, and line producer for multiple Tamil films.
Having started his journey in the 1980s, Shivaji's film career spans over four decades, and he is credited with delivering some remarkable performances in films, including ‘Kolamavu Kokila,’ and ‘Dharala Prabhu.’
