It was a challenging role: Suman Ranganathan
Suman Ranganathan, the multilingual actress who had worked with the likes of Vijayakanth, Ramarajan and Ajith is back to Tamil after a long gap with Dandupaalayam. She was in Chennai for the promo of the film where she plays a quirky role.
Talking to DC, Suman said, "I started with Pudhu Paattu in K'town. Chennai has always been special to me. I love the food here and people are so warm. My parents are also fond of Tamil movies. When director KT Naik approached me with this film, which is a multilingual, I immediately gave my nod. It is not a run-of-the-mill role and something unique. We shot in rough terrains and hot weather with barefoot and it was very challenging. I hope to do more films in Tamil."
Dandupaalayam is a gangster movie, based on the real-life notorious gang rampant during the 1980s in Dandupalya in Karnataka.
