Here’s another short filmmaker, who is all set to wield the megaphone. Elan, an engineering graduate and son of actor Pandiyan, is making his foray with a dark crime-thriller Graghanam.
He has roped in Krishna and Kayal fame Chandran as the lead heroes. Nandhini, a new entrant and former Miss Andhra Pradesh, debuts as the female lead.
25-year-old Elan pursued aeronautical engineering, but his passion towards cinema drew him to tinsel town. He has completed five short films including
V-chithram, a psychological thriller, which won top honours at the Ladakh International Film Fest, besides critical acclaim. His immediate goal was to step into the silver screen.
Elan says, “The film is about how the characters get affected in one way or the other on a Lunar eclipse day. The twists and turns that take place in their lives soon after the eclipse ends, form the crux. I have narrated it in a racy manner with loads of thrills.”
The cast includes Karunas, Karunakaran and Jayaprakash, Pandi and Singapore Deepan.
