It was a pleasant surprise for Dhanush fans when their idol announced his first directorial venture — Power Pandi. It is rumoured that the crew has already completed 50 percent of the film. However, a source close to the film’s unit denied such rumours.
“It is true that the filming is underway, but it is only in the starting stage. Dhanush sir and crew are currently in Theni shooting the film,” the source revealed.
Veteran actor Rajkiran is playing the lead role in the film, which also stars Chaya Singh and Prasanna in pivotal roles. Interestingly, reports suggest that stand-up comedian-turned-actor Robo Shankar is playing the role of an actor in the film. Going by the first look poster, Power Pandi strikes one as a road trip film. It is also speculated that director Gautham Menon is playing a cameo in the
upcoming movie.
The source, meanwhile, quashed the reports which claimed that Dhanush is resuming the shoot of Gautham Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta.
