Who me? No, Not at all
Hansika Motwani refutes rumours of her acting as a pair to Saravana Stores owner Saravanan Arul in his debut movie in which he is touted to play an alien from outer space who saves the earth in a crisis.
'Legend' Saravanan is popular among Tamil netizens for his appearance in advertising his own store. He had initially paired with Hansika and Tamannah who shared screen space with him in a few advertisements of his store brand and caused a huge stir in the industry then. He had also paved way to hilarious video memes from social media users. That could have been one of the reasons for recent reports that Hansika has been roped in to play the lead with Saravanan in the JD-Jerry directed fantasy movie.
The actress was, however, quick to react through her social media handle and posted a newspaper report on it to write "NOT TRUE!" The OKOK actress also sent a note through her publicist where she thanked all the press who were supportive in her journey right from her initial days.
She said, "It is with their earnest encouragements and right criticisms, I am able to discover my potentials and be a part of unique movies. This morning (Thursday), I came across news being published on my next film, which is completely a baseless rumour. Henceforth, I request press and media friends to clarify anything involving my projects with me before getting it published."
Ravishing Hansika, heralded as 'Chinna Khusbhu' of Tamil cinema, became a huge sensation in Tamil and Telugu after she teamed up with several A Listers including Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, Dhanush, Simbu, Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi, Jiiva and Arya. Her horror comedy Aranmanai in Sundar C's direction was a sleeper hit, which consolidated her position while demonstrating that she can pull off female centric genre too. Later, for some reason, she was on and off in K'town only to return with a power packed woman centric flick Maha which also marked her milestone 50th film.
STR and Hansika were in a relationship a few years ago and later parted ways. The news on Simbu playing a cameo in Hansika's Maha directed by UR Jameel once again garnered a lot of attention. The duo was last seen in Vaalu directed by Vijay Chander, which was released in 2015.
