After several struggles, music director Arvind Siddhartha gets his due recognition, thanks to national award winner Archana, who recommended him for Azhiyadha Kolangal 2. The movie, which featured Prakash Raj, Archana and Revathy garnered several acclaims and was also noticed for its music.
Speaking to DC Arvind says, “ Music especially the background score plays an important role in Azhiyadha Kolangal 2 directed by MR Bharathy. Initially, the unit members insisted that a big composer be brought on board for the movie. But, Archana madam had faith in me and gave me this opportunity. I am thankful to her.”
Though there is only one song in the film, but I composed 80 songs, he adds. “Yes, I was told in the first place that there’s only one song number and it was a situational song. The director also told me that since the entire story unfolds in a night’s time and within a house, the RR should take forward the narration. So, I gave importance to ‘atmosphere efforts’ and composed the BGM. In most places, it was silence which crated the necessary effects.”
