We have seen several dialogues of ace actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan being used as film titles. Now, a recent addition to the list is director Kaaviyan’s Sirika Vidalama, which is inspired by the famous dialogue of Ajith, Therika Vidalama, in his previous project Vedalam. The film stars Nithin Sathya, Powerstar Srinivasan, Leesha and newcomer Soumya in the lead roles.
Elaborating on why he picked the title, director Kaaviyan says, “My film is based on the proverb, ‘Laughter is the best medicine’. One can see Ajith sir’s intensity when he says ‘Therika Vidalama?’ in his film Vedalam. I have brought in the same kind of intensity in my film with the dialogues. It is a perfect comedy entertainer and can be watched by people of all age groups.”
The film is gearing up for its audio launch this month. “My film revolves around the characters played by Nithin, Powerstar and VR Vinayak. Nithin plays a playful guy while his pair Leesha essays the role of a financier. How he wins her heart forms the crux of the story,” he explains.
