Actress Sayyesha made a grand debut with director Vijay’s Vanamagan, which ran successfully in the theatres. Owing to the theatre strike, Vanamagan had to cut short its decent run in cinemas. However, the lead actors, Jayam Ravi and Sayyesha, were showered with praises for their realistic performances. Now, the actress is all set to move to her second Tamil film, Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja, helmed by actor-choreographer-producer Prabhudheva.
Basking in the success of her debut Tamil film, Sayyeshaa believes that the credits go to director, Vijay, who believed in her. “Vijay sir gave me the best debut one could ever ask for. Now, it has laid a good foundation for me in Tamil,” she begins her conversation, adding, “I start my next project on July 6 in Chennai. Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja, starring Vishal and Karthi, is a big project and the film is special for many reasons.”
Sayyeshaa has worked with Prabhudheva in Vanamagan, as the latter choreographed her introduction song Dum Dum. “Working with Prabhu sir in his comeback film is extremely special. I am fortunate enough to have been chosen by him and glad that he sees the potential in me,” she reveals.
