Music composer Sathya is a happy man these days. His background score in Parthiban's record attempt Oththa Seruppy Size 7, which was critically acclaimed, will be screened in Indian Panorama segment of IFFI 2019.
Speaking to DC, the Engeyum Eppodhum composer says, “It was an enriching experience working with Parthiban sir. We discussed several days about OSS7 as to how the BGM should be for the quirky film as it had only one character. A lot of emotions were to be carried through music also. That way it was very challenging. So, we didn't want the regular musical arrangements and instead opted for live recording. So, we brought Macedonia Orchestra for the music.”
He adds quickly, “It is not that easy to satisfy Parthiban sir. He will not give consent to your first attempt. He would listen to several types of music and finally choose what he feels is the best and one which goes well with the theme (smiles).”
Sathy's future films include Trisha's Raangi, Aari's Aleka, Jasmine and Aayiram Jenmangal.
