At the audio launch of Thunikaram, director Kasthoori Raja got nostalgic and shared how he struggled to get his fist film out. A crime thriller, Thunikaram directed by Balasudhan has newcomer Vinod Lohidasan as the hero .
Speaking at the event Kasthoori Raja said, “Looking backwards, I realise that I have lost several things in my life to become somebody in film industry. Twice, people termed me a buffoon after coming to cinema — once, when I literally roamed around tinsel town to find a producer for my debut film — and the second time when a financier commented, ‘This father-and-son (Dhanush) duo is just playing with the camera without any seriousness,’ when I was launching my son Dhanush who did not have the looks of a hero in Thulluvadho Ilamai. Today, we have come to this position after facing so much humiliation. I also got Rajkiran who produced and acted as the lead in my debut film. There has been no looking back since then!”
