Deekay, whose debut movie, horror-comedy Yaamirukka Bayamey, was a trendsetter in its genre, is all set for the release of his next film - Kaatteri (Vampire). The film has Vaibhav Reddy and Sonam Bajwa playing the lead pair, with Varalaxmi and Aathmika playing crucial roles. And people who have had a sneak peek at the film can’t stop raving about Deekay’s screenplay.
Talking about the film, Deekay says, “Though my second film, Kavalai Vendam, received a lukewarm response at the BO, it was Gnanavel sir who encouraged me to pursue horror again. Even kids will love Kaatteri because it’s a laugh riot. The highlight of the film is its unpredictable screenplay. You won’t be able to guess what’s going to happen in the next scene, or who the actual Kaatteri is.”
“The movie’s cast features a host of humourists including Karunakaran, Mottai Rajhendran, Ponnambalam, Chethan, Ravi Mariya, John Vijay, Mime Gopi and Lollu Sabha Manohar. Everyone has a distinct look and character,” the filmmaker adds. He also tells us that the film has been shot in Sri Lanka. And though the movie has no songs, it does have a background score that’s been composed by Prasad.
