Rajinikanth walks back in time at AVM heritage museum

AVM Productions, one of India’s most distinguished and longstanding film production houses, recently opened a film museum. The AVM Heritage Museum was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin.

Kamal Haasan, who was introduced as a child actor in Kalathur Kannamma (an AVM Productions project), politicians T R Baalu and K Ponmudy, director S P Muthuraman, actor Sivakumar, and lyricist Vairamuthu were among those present on the occasion. The museum boasts a rich collection of audio and video equipment, along with props like cameras, motorbikes and cars used in the making of iconic Tamil movies such as Murattu Kaalai, Sakalakala Vallavan, Mundhanai Mudichu, Samsaram Adhu Minsaram and Yejaman.

Superstar Rajinikanth visited the museum on Wednesday (7th June) and walked down memory lane as he viewed the artefacts capturing parts of the illustrious history of Tamil cinema. M.Saravanan and MS Guhan were also present.

The items on display include a Suzuki RV90 that Rajinikanth rode in the 1983 Tamil film Paayum Puli, the vibrant red vintage MG TB car from the Adhiradee song, and the Sivaji statue from his 2007 film Sivaji-The Boss.
