Villains turning hero is not a new trend in Tamil cinema. The latest one to join the list is Sanjay who has acted as a baddie in a few movies. He has been elevated as the lead protagonist in a film named Thedu. Meghna of Urudhi Kol fame plays his love interest.
Eswar, who earlier did Inaya Thalaimurai, directs the film. He says, “The film revolves around three different people, a guy who is an alcoholic, a young couple who are madly in love with each other and a pair who indulges in selfies. The repercussions of their deeds and whether they come out of their predicament form the rest. There is a message imparted in the movie.” Producer Sivakasi Murugesan doubles up as the antagonist of Thedu.
