With the digital revolution setting in, many Bollywood biggies are jumping on the web-series bandwagon and the the trend is fast catching onin K’town as well. The latest to enter the digital space is actor-turned- politician Kamal Haasan. His Raaj Kamal Films banner will now create content for OTT platforms.
The Makkal Needhi Maiam president posted on his social media handle “In a series of firsts, happy to announce that I’m entering the fascinating world of content creation with @deepak30000 @banijayasia& @turmericmediaTM. #RMahendran. I’ve always believed in telling stories & this is just another step to get the best stories to the biggest audiences.”
Mahendran, who was part of a television channel and now heads Turmeric Media, was also associated with Kamal’s political party. It now looks as if he”s creating more avenues for the actor.
Also, it is strongly rumoured that Kamal will be bankrolling Superstar Rajinikanth’s next under Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction. The duo has been toying with the idea of collaborating.
