We had earlier reported that Ganesh Venkatraman is playing a special investigative officer in Shankar-Suresh directorial titled Inayathalam. This film will focus on Ganesh, Malayalam actress Shweta Menon and Erode Mahesh cracking a cyber crime case.
The Thani Oruvan actor has now wrapped up the talkie portions of the film and is looking forward to the release. “Social media has become an extended part of life and people today are more involved in commenting on other’s lives. Even though Inayathalam is a commercial thriller, it will have moments that talk about how social media has distanced people from one another. I will be taking on a nameless culprit in the film,” he begins his conversation.
Ganesh explains that action sequences are the highlights of Inayathalam. “We shot a car chasing sequence at the famous Karivaradhan race track. For this scene, the team had roped in professional Formula One racers. Since I had to be on par with them, I took special training to learn the basics of F1. Also, there is another scene which was shot in a crowded mall. The famous Malayalam stunt master Sashi choreographed the action sequences and this is his debut in Kollywood.”
Inayathalam also helped Ganesh to learn about hacking and other cyber space activities. “I had to do my research and this was a new field for me. I got to learn about technical devices such as the frequency detector!” he concludes.
