Cashing in on the popularity of Yogi Babu's romantic dream song 'KalyanaVayasuThaan' with Nayan from Kolamavu Kokila, director Krishna Sai, who has roped in the comedian for his flick 50/50 to play a romantic rowdy, has included a song in the film which begins with the line Kolamavu Kokila.
The peppy number composed by Dharan Kumar has been picturised on Yogi Babu. Kapse Poovaiyar, the rock star kid who shot to fame singing for Vijay in Bigil besides sharing screen space with him, has crooned the track. The audio was launched recently and the song is going viral on online platforms.
While Shreya Gupta plays opposite Yogi, Alexander pens the story. Sethu of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya fame and Shruti Ramakrishnan are the lead pair. A host of comedians, including Rajhendran, John Vijay, Balasaravanan, Dheena, Mayilsamy, Nandha Saravanan and Madan Bob are part of the cast.
Promoted to be a comic supernatural thriller, there are special action sequences too for Yogi Babu, choreographed by stunt master Billa Jagan, says the director. VNR bankrolls the reportedly big budget 50/50.
