Popular singer Chinmayi, who is currently in San Francisco, U.S for a concert, was robbed yesterday. The singer’s car window panes were smashed by burglars and some valuables were stolen. In a series of tweets, Chinmayi shared the unfortunate event with her fans and followers.
She stated that the police officers were kind to her and told her that it was a common incident there. “It took me 5 minutes to realize that things were missing. The police here in SFO were really kind and told me break-ins were common (sic),” she tweeted.
A neighbour near her place came to her rescue by stopping thieves from stealing more. “Thankfully, a neighbour scared the thief from stealing more stuff and a red-haired girl has been caught on camera. Good people still walk the Earth (sic).”
When contacted, her mom Padmhasini said the singer is safe and has finished formalities with the police — “She had been shopping and left some items like her laptop in the car, which has been stolen. But fortunately, she is safe and is back at her residence.”
