Actor Ram aka Raman Bala who made a mark acting as the Tamil speaking army guy in the national award winning film Newton is all geared up with his bilingual Tamil-Hindi titled Bypass. A road movie, the film is directed by Akshay, who was a former assistant of Shagufta Rafique, the writer of Aashiqui 2.
The story of the film is about a millionaire criminal who runs away from the city to escape police clutches and finally lands in Kasi. The long journey teaches him life lessons and self-realisation.
The film will have actors from both Tamil and Hindi film industries. Bollywood actor Murari Kumar, who has acted in Anurag Kasyap's Gangs of Waaseypur, Black Friday will be seen in a crucial character.
Prayas Mann, who was in films like Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, and Thuppakki, Pradeep Nair who was seen in Thegidi and Thiruttu Payale 2 are also part of the intense movie. Martin, who had his tutelage under ace Balasubramaniyem, is behind the camera.
