Simbu, Jyothika team up for fourth time
After being roped in for Mani Ratnam film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which is now in postproduction, it appears Simbu is unstoppable. The actor, on a signing spree, is the latest addition in Jyothika’s new film Kaatrin Mozhi, the Tamil remake of Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu. STR will be seen as himself in KM, a role Ayushmann Khuranna had played in Hindi.
Simbu is admittedly an ardent fan of Jyothika and has romanced her onscreen in Manmadhan and Saravana. It’s not certain if they are paired or not in the latest movie but they are both part of Mani’s flick. The young actor instantly agreed to act in Kaatrin Mozhi directed by Radha Mohan. The producer of the film Dhananjeyan has said that the scene was quite a big one and Simbu wrapped it up on time. The shooting for the cameo with Jyothika was recently shot in a FM Station set erected in T. Nagar, where the segments involving Jo as a radio jockey are also being shot.
The movie has Vidharth playing Jyothika’s husband and Lakshmi Manchu reprising Neha Dupia’s role in the original. AR Rahman’s nephew A.H. Kaashif composes the music.
