After the success of Remo, Sivakarthikeyan moved on to Mohan Raja’s Velaikkaran, which is based on food adulteration. It is safe to say that Siva is determined to strike a balance by choosing commercial entertainers and concept-oriented flicks. After wrapping up Velaikkaran, he will concentrate on his next untitled flick, directed by Ponram.
A couple of months back, it was speculated that Sivakarthikeyan is being considered to play the lead role in Sudha Kongara Prasad’s next movie. But, it looks like the project didn’t materialise. According to latest developments, Sivakarthikeyan will be teaming up with his best friend-cum-director Vignesh Shivan. Unconfirmed reports say that this film will be funded by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green.
Yesterday, a leading television channel confirmed that they have secured the rights of the untitled film of Sivakarthikeyan and Vignesh Shivan. Meanwhile, a source close to the director says, “Vignesh had a script Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal ready even before Naanum Rowdy Dhaan began. Unfortunately, the film couldn’t take off at the point of time. It could be KRK that Siva and Vignesh are planning to do as their next. Work regarding this film will kick-start once Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Kootam has released.”
