Popular orator and debate anchor Leo Sivakumar, actor Dindigul I Leoni’s son, is making his debut as lead actor in the upcoming film titled Azhagiya Kanne. R.Vijaykumar, sibling of ace filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy, who assisted him in many films, from Koodal Nagar to the recent Maamanithan, directs the project.
Actress Sanchita Shetty will be seen as Sivakumar’s love interest.
Vijaykumar shared, “The central character is an ambitious filmmaker from Madurai. Sanchita plays a young woman employed in an IT firm who falls for him and pushes him to chase his dreams in Chennai. They marry, against their parents’ wishes, and have a baby girl. He faces numerous hurdles in establishing himself in the film industry. The film captures the many challenges this young family encounters in the bustling city.”
Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi appears in a cameo in AK, playing himself.
According to Vijaykumar, the protagonist gets the chance to present his script to the star. “Despite his hectic schedule, Sethupathi Sir cooperated fully. He even allowed us to shoot at his office. He did not accept any remuneration for his appearance,” Vijaykumar revealed.
Ace director Prabhu Solomon also makes an appearance, as himself. The movie, produced by Xavier Britto, has music by N.Raghunandhan.
