Director Sinish, who made a horror genre film with Jai and Anjali, now turns a producer for a fantasy comedy. A female centric movie, it is directed by Krishnan Jayaraj. Sinish once again opted for Anjali for the central role. Impressed with the narration, Anjali is said to have given an instant nod without even discussing the remuneration.
Says Krishnan, a former co-director of Amudhan and who did Sonnal Puriyadhu independently, “Usually, female centric movies are inclined either to be supernatural thrillers or social drama. This story has deviated into a complete fantasy comedy with sports backdrop. Anjali was very impressed when I narrated the script and she could relate to various scenes. I feel she has a natural flair for comedy. She has also shed lots of kilos and looks fit.”
So what does she portray? "She is Rudra, an aspiring basketball player, but this is not a sports movie. Set in a hill station, the story then travels to the city,"
Yogi Babu and Ramar of Vijay TV fame play crucial roles. Talks are going on with a few more prominent actors to play important roles. Vishal Chandrashekar composes the music for the yet to be titled film.
