The Telugu film Arjun Reddy has created a sensation in the south and the film has propelled the lead actor Vijay Devarakonda and the heroine Shalini Pandey to nationwide fame. And now both of them have become much-sought-after faces in Telugu.
The latest buzz is that the actress has been approached for the upcoming Tamil-Telugu film of Dulquer Salmaan. The untitled film will be helmed by debutant director Ra Karthik.
A source in the know reveals that she has been only approached for the role and the script narration has not happened yet. According to reports, the film will have many heroines and is touted to be a road trip film.
The film, produced by J Selvakumar, will be a bilingual and will have Dheen Dayal composing the tunes.
Notably, Shalini is also part of Dulquer’s flick Mahanati, a biography of yesteryear heroine Savitri.
An intriguing choice!
We earlier reported that the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, which will mark the debut of Vikram’s son Dhruv, would either have Akshara Haasan or Shriya Sharma in the lead role. Now, it has been confirmed that the film will be helemed by director Bala. Vikram in a series of tweets teased the fans and kept them guessing — and eventually revealed that it would be Bala who would direct his son!
