Indhuja and Dhruva in steamy lip-lock
The intimate lip-lock scene of Indhuja, hitherto seen in homely roles including in her recent flick Magamuni, with one-film-old actor Dhruva in her upcoming Super Duper is the talk of tinsel town. We hear that the particular shot took almost a day to be canned with minimum number of technicians at a shooting locale in the city.
When Dhruva, who also doubles up as the producer of the film, was contacted, he said, “The kissing scene is the turning point in the story and it was not a forced one. The director AK has shot it aesthetically, without making it sleazy and the act will be justified in the narration when you watch the film.”
Elaborating on the subject, he says, “Besides a strong story, the film has all the entertaining elements like action, thrill, comedy, romance and subtle emotions all packaged in proper proportions and will be lapped up by all kinds of audiences.”
On his role he says, “I play Sathya, a conman, but I am not a cunning person. In one such episode of conning, he accidentally meets the heroine who is in a predicament. How he gets entangled in her problem and how they solve it forms the rest.”
On Indhuja, he said, “She is a talented actress and highly professional. In SD, she plays a modern girl and has also done a glamorous kutthu number.” Indhuja is a combo of talent and glamour akin to Simran.
We asked why this long gap after Aanmai Thavarael. “I came to cinema out of passion. Though few films came after AT, I never wanted to grab them, as the scripts were mediocre. I waited for the right one, when AK narrated SD. He has done an extraordinary screenplay.” Super Duper will be locking horns with Suriya’s Kaappan on September 20.
