Dhanush’s period war film Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheswaran, which
is aiming for global release on December 15th, will reportedly be dubbed in Kannada.
While Dhanush plays the title role in the film produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and Sundeep Kishen and Priyanka Mohan have key parts, Kannada star
Shiva Rajkumar plays the pivotal role of Dhanush’s elder brother. The decision
to dub the film in Kannada is largely attributed to Shiva Rajkumar’s high-impact cameo in Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which became the highest-grossing Tamil film in Karnataka’s cinema history. KRG Studios, which secured the distribution rights for Captain Miller in Karnataka, aims to capitalise on this success by releasing a Kannada-dubbed version as well.
Shiva Rajkumar’s character in Jailer garnered substantial attention and praise. In a recent media interaction, he described the experience of playing Narasimha as ‘life-changing,’ and expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response his role received.
