Though some of his anticipated films were jinxed, it now looks like talented actor Richard’s upcoming commercial thriller Andhamaan, in which he takes an action avatar, is complete and will soon hit the marquee. The movie has Manochithra, who showed a lot of promise when launched in K’town, as his romantic interest. Apparently, Manochithra needs a break after her last two flicks Netru Indru and Veeram, in which she had a blink-n-miss role, released two years back.
According to Aadhavan, a former assistant of SP Jananathan who debuts as director, the film is about the predicaments and hurdles faced by a youngster when he tries to save the planet from a serious issue. “The movie is being shot extensively on Andaman Islands, as part of the story unveils there. We shot a major stunt sequence featuring Richard and antagonist Kannadasan aboard a ship for five days, and it will be one of the highlights of the movie,” he reveals.
The audio of the flick was recently launched in a gala event. Ramani Iyer, who has penned the songs, story, and dialogue for the movie, recently met his mentor — the noted writer Balakumaran — at his house. The writer was all praise for the album of Andhamaan.
